ABOUT CROPPING & RESIZING

A few things to know.

How do I crop and resize an image?

Choose a JPG, PNG or still WebP image. Drag on the preview to select an area, move the selection or resize it from a corner. Use the crop fields for precise coordinates. Set your output width and height, choose a format and save.

Can I keep the original proportions?

Keep aspect ratio links the output width and height using the selected crop proportions. Turn it off to set each dimension separately; this can stretch the image. Square, 4:3 and 16:9 buttons make centered crops.

Is cropping free and private?

Yes. Cropping, resizing and conversion run on your device. Your image and filename are not uploaded. No sign-up or paid API is needed.

What are the file and output limits?

Use one JPG, PNG or still WebP image up to 20 MB, 16 megapixels and 12,000 pixels per side. Output dimensions can be 1 to 3,500 pixels per side, with a 50 MB output limit. Animated images, HEIC, GIF and SVG are not supported.

Will transparency and photo orientation be kept?

PNG and WebP keep transparent areas; JPG uses a white background. Photo orientation is applied before cropping. Photo metadata is not copied. The original image stays unchanged.

Can I cancel or start over?

Cancel stops conversion and keeps your image and settings. Reset edits restores the full image and initial output dimensions. Remove file clears the image and result. Enlarging a small image cannot recover lost detail.
